The Filipino Music Awards (FMA) 2026 will once again put the power in the hands of the people through the People’s Choice Awards, presented by Billboard Philippines.
For this year’s edition, which will be held on October 6, 2026, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena, three fan-voted categories will feature 10 nominees, allowing fans to support their favorite local and international artists, as well as their favorite songs that have made an impact throughout the calendar year.
The People’s Choice – Artist recognizes the Filipino artist or band who has made the biggest impact on fans through their music and performances throughout the year. Beyond their songs, the nominees have built strong connections with their audiences through notable releases, memorable performances, and their lasting impact that inspires their fans and supporters.
The People’s Choice – Song spotlights tracks that captured the Filipino pop culture zeitgeist and soundtracked moments shared by fans and the wider Filipino audience. These are songs that have resonated with listeners and shaped their music experience throughout the year, landing on countless playlists, earning millions of streams, and becoming part of the soundtrack of everyday life for many Filipinos.
The International Artist category celebrates global performers who continue to expand their reach and strengthen their connection with fans in the Philippines. From releasing some of the biggest songs worldwide to delivering electrifying performances across various stages, these artists have helped shape Filipino fans’ listening habits and musical interests.
The nominees for each category will be revealed tomorrow, September 4, 2026, as voting for the People’s Choice Awards officially opens.
Here’s how to vote for the People’s Choice categories:
- Voting opens on September 4 and will be available through polls on the Billboard Philippines website. Voting closes on October 4 at 11:59 PM.
- Unlimited voting is allowed. Votes are not limited per user, per day, nor per category.
- The page may be refreshed after each vote to count each entry.
- Only one winner will be named per category.
- Official voting will ONLY be conducted via the Billboard Philippines website polls.
- Vote buying, cheating, and any other methods used to gain an unfair advantage are strictly not allowed.
- Billboard Philippines will have an auditor review all votes and take action on any anomalous votes (ie: spam, bots, etc). Billboard Philippines reserves the right to nullify malicious votes.
- Billboard Philippines will tabulate the votes at the end of the voting period mentioned.
- The nominee with the most votes will be declared the winner in their respective category. The winners will be awarded at the Filipino Music Awards on October 6.
