Fresh off their successful production of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Sandbox Collective has announced their next production –– which is the beloved Broadway musical, Little Shop of Horrors. The highly anticipated follow-up for the company this year promises another immersive theatrical experience and will be hitting the stage this upcoming July.
The production has generated several teasers on social media, reaching a fever high anticipation with the announcement of its principal cast members. Actors Reb Atadero and Nyoy Volante will alternate in the role of Seymour, while Karylle Tatlonghari and Sue Ramirez will alternate in the role of Audrey. Each brings a wealth of experience to their respective roles, promising dynamic performances that will captivate audiences.

Little Shop of Horrors tells the story of Seymour, a shy florist who discovers a mysterious plant named Audrey II, named after his crush. As Seymour nurtures the plant to bring prosperity to the shop and win Audrey’s affection, he gets entangled in a dangerous game with Audrey II, whose appetite becomes increasingly menacing. The musical’s blend of humor and suspense delves into themes of ambition, desire, and the darker aspects of human nature.
Led by director Toff De Venecia and featuring the musical direction of Ejay Yatco, Little Shop of Horrors promises to transport audiences to a world of whimsy and intrigue. Set to run from July 6 to August 2024 at the Globe Auditorium, Maybank Performing Arts Theater, BGC, the production is sure to be a highlight of the theatrical season.
