As SB19 continue to make their waves globally with their Simula at Wakas Tour, A’TIN, SB19’s official fandom, have more reasons to celebrate the Kings of P-pop with Pagtatag! The Documentary arriving on Netflix.

Fans have noted that the documentary appeared in the ‘New and Hot’ or ‘Coming Soon’ section of the Netflix app. The streaming release was then officially announced by Netflix Philippines today, June 26.

Directed by Jed Regala, who directed the music videos for the P-pop group’s “I Want You” and “Freedom,” Pagtatag! The Documentary was originally released in theaters in August 2024. It also had international releases in Singapore, Hong Kong, United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom.

Last March, it was selected to be screened at the Osaka Asian Film Festival in Japan, along with the 2024 Metro Manila Film Festival entry And The Breadwinner Is… starring Vice Ganda.

The documentary chronicles the hustle and hype of the P-pop group as they faced trials and tribulations during their Pagtatag! EP era.

This era was notable for the group’s significant milestones such as embarking on their first world tour, as well as leaving their talent agency ShowBT to start their own company, 1Z Entertainment.

Pagtatag! is the second installment in the trilogy that began with 2021’s Pagsibol and concluded with this year’s Simula at Wakas. The themes surrounding Pagtatag! focus on topics like empowerment and mental health, among others, which were some of the things that inspired the group’s struggles.
