Wilbert Ross offers a lighthearted note on love with the release of his latest single, “Paruparo,” under Viva Records.
The track follows “Lil Things,” from the soundtrack of Viva One’s Love U Lots, and “Avianna,” a track inspired by his leading role in the hit Viva One rom-com series Golden Scenery of Tomorrow.
Ahead of the release, Ross teased the song with snippets accompanied by the caption, “Buo na ang araw ko” (“My day is complete”).
The song captures the feeling of having “paruparo sa tiyan,” or “butterflies in the stomach,” a familiar feeling associated with developing romantic feelings and falling for someone.
“Buo na ang araw ko / At dahil ‘yon sa iyo / Wala nang makakasira sa umaga / Hanggang hapon ‘to / May parang paru-paro / Sa tiyan ko, ano ba ‘to? / Hindi na masukat ang tuwa sa puso / At damdamin ko dahil sa ’yo,” Ross sings in the chorus.
Moving between the acting and music industries, Ross proves that he can do both. He is set to lead the highly anticipated Filipino film adaptation of the blockbuster Thai horror-comedy Pee Mak. Joining him are Cup of Joe’s Gian Bernardino in his feature film debut, his on-screen partner Bea Binene, Jairus Aquino, Vandolph Quizon, and TJ Valderrama.
