Grammy Award-winning music producer Metro Boomin has expressed his desire to produce entrance themes for the WWE.

The music producer took to X, saying, “Would love to produce some WWE entrance themes. It’s a lifelong goal of mine.” Metro is no stranger to the world of professional wrestling and WWE. Last October, he was featured in the promotions for the company’s premium live event Bad Blood, appearing alongside WWE Superstar Cody Rhodes.

He was also part of the event’s cold open, which included both Rhodes and WWE Hall of Famer and Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque. Additionally, his track “GTA” featuring Future, served as the official theme song for the event.

Since 2019, WWE has entrusted Def Rebel, the company-owned music entity operating under the pseudonym of DJDTP, with producing entrance themes for its talent. However, this move has faced criticism from both fans and talent, who argue that the newer themes lack creativity and feel generic compared to the music that came before. Whether WWE will make a change in this department remains to be seen.

Metro has collaborated with top names in music including The Weeknd, Drake, Travis Scott, and Playboi Carti, cementing himself as one of the most influential producers in modern hip-hop.

He created the original soundtrack for the acclaimed animated film Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, which was also shortlisted for Best Original Score at the 96th Academy Awards.
