Logan Lerman stars in HAIM‘s new music video for “Down to Be Wrong,” from their upcoming fourth studio album, I Quit, marking their first release in over five years, following 2020’s Women In Music Pt. III.
The music video, directed by the LA-based duo Bradley & Pablo (Bradley Bell and Pablo Jones-Soler), follows the Perks of Being a Wallflower star in a hotel room as he struggles to sleep while Danielle, Alana, and Este haunt him, pulling shenanigans like turning the TV and lights on and ringing the doorbell.
Scenes depict Lerman going crazy and unable to catch a break while trying to get a good night’s sleep, as the trio casually rock out to the track. The song serves as a powerful reminder of self-preservation, focusing on leaving a toxic relationship and prioritizing personal well-being over being “right.”
The video follows the announcement of their new album, set to arrive on June 20th. So far, they have released the singles “Relationships” and “Everybody’s Trying to Figure Me Out.” The music video for “Relationships” features actor Drew Starkey (Queer, Outer Banks).
The trio kicks off this new era by paying tribute to early 2000s paparazzi photos with the accompanying visuals for the album rollout. Notably, the album cover was shot by their friend and director Paul Thomas Anderson (There Will Be Blood, Magnolia). Alana also starred in Anderson’s 2021 ’70s-set coming-of-age drama, Licorice Pizza.
