Lady Gaga is officially joining the cast of Netflix’s hit series Wednesday for its highly anticipated second season, as announced at the streaming giant’s Tudum fan event held at the Kia Forum on June 1 (PH Time).
Netflix has confirmed that Mother Monster herself is headed to Nevermore Academy as Rosaline Rotwood, a teacher at the boarding school where Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega) studies.
At the fan event, the singer-actress slayed the stage with a Wednesday-themed performance, emerging from a coffin in tune with her Mayhem era, with the words “Here lies the monster queen.” She performed her songs “Zombieboy,” “Abracadabra,” and “Bloody Mary” alongside Addams Family-themed dancers.
The “Abracadabra” singer already has ties to the series. During the first season, a dance scene featuring Wednesday went viral, along with a remix set to Gaga’s “Bloody Mary.” Gaga herself later joined the trend, performing the “Bloody Wednesday” dance on TikTok.
The second season promises even darker twists. As Wednesday returns to Nevermore Academy, she is thrust into a new supernatural mystery. Using her psychic abilities, she investigates a string of murders linked to a serial killer, all while navigating the chaos within her gothic school.
Gaga joins other high-profile newcomers this season, including Steve Buscemi, Thandie Newton, Billie Piper, and Noah Taylor.

Season 2 will be released in two parts — the first part dropping on August 6 and the second part on September 3.
