K-pop hitmaker JENNIE has done it again as she joins forces with Apple’s Beats By Dre with the special edition Beats Solo 4, now available in Onyx Black.
Following the sold-out drop of the Solo 4s in Ruby Red, Beats officially announced their third collaboration with JENNIE via social media on April 21. The brand shared the short video with the caption “Did it again,” presenting the monochromatic headphones being wrapped in a black bow. It highlights the headphone’s special edition features: the two attachable black ribbons and the ear cushions embellished with JENNIE-inspired symbols.
Alongside the headphones, the 30-second clip also unveils a snippet of an unreleased track by the K-pop artist. In the background of the campaign video, JENNIE sings, “Already did that once and I’ll do it again,” accompanied by a fast, bass-heavy beat.
To celebrate the drop, JENNIE and Beats also curated a playlist of tracks that pair perfectly with the headphones’ look and mood, featuring Tame Impala‘s “Dracula (JENNIE Remix),” James Blake‘s “Days Go By,” Chanpan‘s “buzzin,” underscores‘ “Tell Me (U Want It),” Thundercat and A$AP Rocky‘s “Funny Friends,” Erykah Badu‘s “Back in the Day,” Vegyn‘s “Path Less Travelled,” and more.
The special edition headphones drops on April 24 at 9:00 AM SGT at apple.com and select retail partners. The launch also includes a pop-up store in Seongsu, South Korea, allowing visitors to test the new JENNIE Special Edition Onyx Black Beats Solo 4s. It follows JENNIE and Beats’ previous collaboration, including the same headphones in Ruby Red and the Beats Solo Buds from their first campaign in 2024.
