James Reid surprised newlyweds Dariz Kho and Emman Pelayo at their wedding at Ad Meliora Countryside Garden in Amadeo, Cavite, on September 21, 2026.
During the reception, the “Attention” singer walked out the doors and grabbed a microphone for a special performance. The bride and groom had no idea of his appearance, with Reid giving them his personal gift.
Reid performed a set featuring songs from his most recent album, Honey, I’m Home — featuring the title track and “Attention.” This marked one of the first live performances of tracks from the album, which is a fitting way at a wedding, with the album treating home not as a place but as a feeling of being in the same room with people you love and choose to spend your life with.
Dariz and Emman first met at the Camp Aguinaldo Tennis Court, as they happen to share the same tennis coach. After becoming a couple on January 7, 2024, they got engaged on September 29, 2025.
With tennis at the center of their friendship and bond, the wedding celebration went full Wimbledon. From the guests in crisp whites and greens to a glass garden pavilion glowing against the Cavite countryside, it was truly a smashing affair.
“It’s not something I usually get to do, but the timing just lined up this time,” James shares. “Hearing Dariz and Emman’s story, I was glad I could be a small part of their day. Seeing how happy they were honestly made my night too. I wish them nothing but the best in this next chapter together.”
For the bride, the surprise was one the whole room will be talking about for a long time. “Really grateful to James for doing this,” Dariz says. “Our guests truly loved the experience. They can’t stop talking about it!”
