At first glance, it may seem that music and fashion exist in different planes; one deals with notes and melodies while the other revolves around style and accessories. But these days, the two art forms are intersecting more and more, and it’s always nothing short of captivating – exactly what a night with Gucci felt like.

Last September, the luxury fashion brand opened its newest flagship boutique at Makati’s Greenbelt 4. Led by the unveiling of Gucci’s lavish new home in the city, the launch was bookended by a musical night with some of the Philippines’ most exciting acts. From pop and R&B grooves from singer-songwriter and CARELESS Music chairman James Reid to the thrilling beats of DJ duo Motherbasss, the after-party was everything that Gucci embodied: bold, fresh, and enthralling.

The night featured a surprise performance from Reid – donning pieces from the Men’s Fall Winter ’23 collection – where he treated audiences with a live rendition of “U and I”, “So Fire”, and “Always Been You”, as well as his then-unreleased track titled “Jacuzzi”.

While Motherbasss’ Nix Damn P and Smunk closed out the party with heart-pumping beats that kept the dance floor hot and moving.
