The King of K-pop, G-DRAGON, has just announced a special release for his latest album, Übermensch.

In addition to the record’s release on CD and digital platforms earlier this year, Übermensch is set to be released on vinyl — in various limited edition, exclusive, and colored variants. The news was shared through his official social media platforms, wherein the 36-year-old musician shared the link to his official webstore, where the records are available for pre-order with a release date of August 15, 2025.

The album’s vinyl release has three unique variants, including a limited edition D2C exclusive picture disc vinyl (limited to only 888 copies worldwide), a rainbow eco-mix colored vinyl, and a standard black disc version. Each album is hand-numbered, with each package containing several bonus inclusions — such as one 24×36-inch poster, one vinyl-exclusive holographic photocard, a printed note from GD, and a marketing sticker. However, the standard black variant also features a special die-cut mirrorboard jacket, with two double-sided 12×12-inch inserts.

The release of Übermensch on vinyl is just the latest collectible release from G-DRAGON, following the announcement of pre-orders for his first-ever official lightstick a few months back. It is also the third-ever vinyl release from the King of K-pop, coming after the release of the very-limited edition boxset of his prior album Coup D’Etat back in 2013, as well as the compilation vinyl, 1st World Tour Commemorative LP: One of a Kind, that was only available at his Korea concerts in the same year. Both records go for exorbitant prices in the aftermarket, which signifies their rarity for collectors and fans alike.

Just recently, G-DRAGON teamed up with SEVENTEEN’s BSS, aespa, DAY6, and more artists for his latest single “Good Day 2025,” which was made through his very own variety show of the same name, with all its profits set to be donated to various charities. He also announced his forthcoming world tour, Übermensch‘ Act. I, which is scheduled to stop by the Philippines this May 17, 2025, at the Philippine Arena.

Pre-orders for Übermensch on vinyl can be found here, with prices ranging from Php 1,800 to Php 5,100 depending on the variant.
