Pioneer P-Pop boy group Chicser reunited at dancer Niana Guerrero’s debut last January 28.
The six-piece group were selected as part of Guerrero’s 18 roses. A TikTok video uploaded by the debutante’s official photo and video team for the night, Nice Print Photo, featured Chicser dancing different dance trends with Guerrero. The dancer then commented on the video by saying, “[C]hicser bbys forevs [sic].”
In a post uploaded by current Chicser member Owy Posadas, he revealed that the group was the 17th rose during the debut. He then added, joking, “Chicser baby girl namin si Niana since 2008, ngayon 18 na! Pwede na mag boyfriend! (Niana has been our Chicser baby girl since 2008, and now she’s 18! She can have a boyfriend now!)”
Chicser was first formed in the 2010s, and is currently composed of Ullyses Webb Basa, Oliver Lance Posadas, Cav Villafuerte, and Owy Posadas. Biboy Chua Cabigon left the group in 2015, while Guerrero’s older brother Ranz Kyle (who she often dances with in TikTok videos), left in 2016.
Guerrero landed mainstream fame by posting dance videos on TikTok. She has been featured with multiple international artists, such as Tate McRae, Sabrina Carpenter, Troye Sivan, K-Pop boy group NCT Dream, and more. Aside from Ranz Kyle, she also dances with her younger sister, Natalie. She danced with Chicser in their music video for “Teach Me How To Dougie,” which they recreated during her debut.
She has also performed in different television variety shows, such as ASAP Natin ‘To, It’s Showtime, and Good Morning. Guerrero has also won multiple awards as a dancer and social media personality, including the 2022 Best Of TikTok PH as a Global TikTok Originator, and Dance Creator of the Year at the 2023 TikTok Awards Philippines.
