ENHYPEN and HYBE’s dark fantasy/romance novel, DARK MOON: THE BLOOD ALTAR, will receive a hardcover edition from Ize Press on December 30, 2025.
The physical edition features 896 pages and is packed with over 80 photos of the members and is priced at USD 35 or roughly PHP 2,100.
Set in Decelis Academy, the story follows seven boys who are the school’s most popular students, but hide a dark secret — they are actually vampires. After their orphanage was burned down by a mysterious enemy, the brothers have spent years running. The characters are based on ENHYPEN’s members: Jungwon as Jakah, Heeseung as Heli, Jay as Jino, Jake as Jaan, Sunghoon as Solon, Sunoo as Shion, and Ni-ki as Noa.
Originally, DARK MOON: THE BLOOD ALTAR was released as a webtoon, written and illustrated by HYBE in collaboration with Naver Webtoon. Since its debut in January 2022, it has been translated into multiple languages, including Korean, Japanese, English, French, Indonesian, Spanish, Thai, and German. While the webtoon presents the original story, a separate web novel with an alternative storyline is also available on Wattpad.
The series ran for 70 chapters from January 2022 to August 2023 and is inspired by ENHYPEN’s music videos, with the story originally beginning with their “Drunk-Dazed” music video released in April 2021. The Blood Altar is the first story in the series and is followed by the prequel Children of Vamfield and the spin-off prequel The Grey City, together with the Japanese boy band &TEAM.
Additionally, an anime adaptation of The Blood Altar, produced by Studio Troyca, is set to premiere in Japan in January 2026 and will stream worldwide on Crunchyroll.
