Dua Lipa is back on the big screen as she joins the cast of A24‘s comedy film, Peaked.

Directed by actress‑filmmaker Molly Gordon (The Bear, Theater Camp), the project follows two friends who were labeled as “terrorizers” as they attempt to relive their high school peak by reuniting with their classmates at a 10‑year class reunion.

This is Lipa’s third film appearance, following her roles in Barbie as Mermaid Barbie and in Matthew Vaughn’s spy action-comedy Argylle as Legrange.

Peaked marks her first foray into an ensemble comedy role, sharing the screen with Sex Education star Emma Mackey, Oscar-winning actress Laura Dern, Bridgerton star Simone Ashley, and Heated Rivalry star Connor Storrie.

Production is slated to start in New Jersey in April, with no official release date or confirmation of which role Lipa is playing as of this writing.

On television, she has appeared on the iconic sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live as herself and a musical guest in 2018, 2020, and 2024.

She released her third studio album, Radical Optimism, in 2024, which featured the singles “Houdini,” “Training Season,” “Illusion,” and “These Walls.” She is now gearing up to return to music with her fourth studio album.

Reports suggest that she has scrapped the original plans for the upcoming record and has been in the studio experimenting more toward a jazz/R&B sound. However, no official release date or further details have been announced.
