Warner Bros. has released the first official teaser for the new Wuthering Heights film adaptation starring Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi, set to Charli XCX’s “Everything is Romantic” — which also confirms that she is writing original songs for the film.

The latest adaptation of the 1847 Emily Brontë novel is helmed by Fennell, who previously directed Saltburn and Promising Young Woman.

Taking cues from Saltburn, which also starred Elordi, the new Wuthering Heights brings the sensuality and intense relationship between Catherine Earnshaw (Robbie) and Heathcliff (Elordi).

Charli shared the teaser on X, “new original songs by me for Emerald Fennell’s ‘Wuthering Heights’ starring Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi,” she writes. “in theatres february 14th. happy early valentines <3.”

In the 90-second teaser, Heathcliff says to Catherine, “I can follow you like a dog to the end of the world,” accompanied by steamy cuts to various scenes in the film, while “Everything is Romantic” plays perfectly in the background.

The novel has been adapted into more than two dozen screen versions, as well as numerous productions in other media, including radio, theater, and opera. Notable adaptations include the 1939 Academy Award–winning film, a 1992 version starring Juliette Binoche and featuring Ralph Fiennes in his film debut with Sinéad O’Connor narrating as Brontë, and a 2003 contemporary musical version that aired on MTV.

Set your Valentine’s Day plans early as the film arrives in Philippine cinemas in February 2026.
