Watch out, ARMY!
BTS‘ RM (also known as Namjoon) has just announced that he will be releasing his second studio album, Right Place, Wrong Person, on the vinyl record format this August 2025.
His label, BIGHIT MUSIC, also confirmed the news on the platform WeVerse, sharing more details about the record’s forthcoming release worldwide beginning August 8, 2025. “Right Place, Wrong Person has been widely praised for its heartfelt lyrics and layered sound since its 2024 release. To express our gratitude for your love and support, we are releasing Right Place, Wrong Person on vinyl,” mentioned the label in their official press release.
The special vinyl edition of the sophomore album from BTS’ leader will feature several inclusions, such as a single jacket outer sleeve, a printed inner sleeve with custom artwork, a standard black vinyl disc, an exclusive 12×12 inch 32-page photobook, a 20×30 inch fold-out poster/lyric sheet, and two vinyl exclusive photocards. Right Place, Wrong Person was initially released in May of last year to critical acclaim worldwide, even snagging a spot as one of Billboard Philippines‘ picks for The 50 Best Albums and EPs of 2024. It was the highly anticipated follow-up to his debut album Indigo from 2022, which was also released on a special vinyl package that is now sold out worldwide.
BTS and their members are no strangers to releasing their albums on the vinyl format, as most recently, j-hope released his second project on the format with hope on the street vol. 1, which followed the release of his debut studio album Jack In The Box, also on vinyl. Other BTS soloists who have released their discography on the format include V (Taehyung) with Layover, Jimin with Face, Jung Kook with GOLDEN, and Suga with D-Day. As a group, they’ve released their Korean albums, Love Yourself: Her and Love Yourself: Tear, on the format, alongside their Japanese debut album, Wake Up.
Just recently, the entire lineup of BTS made their long-awaited reunion via an online livestream on WeVerse, announcing their upcoming reunion plans for Spring 2026 that will comprise a new album and a world tour. Though details have still been kept under wraps, make sure to stay tuned to this space for more updates of what we can expect from their much-anticipated comeback next year.
