Fresh from the conclusion of his first solo world tour titled ‘RunSeokjin Ep. Tour,’ BTS’ Jin has officially announced a concert film version of the tour, set to hit cinemas sometime this December.
The announcement for RunSeokjin Ep. Tour The Movie came as a surprise during the second night of the two-night ‘RunSeokjin Ep. Tour Encore’ shows at Incheon’s Munhak Main Stadium in South Korea on October 31 and November 1. A teaser for the concert film appeared on the stadium’s massive LED screens, confirming its upcoming worldwide release.
Although screening and premiere details for the Philippines have not yet been announced, stay tuned for updates. Jin’s concert film follows fellow BTS member J-Hope’s HOPE ON THE STAGE: THE MOVIE, which arrives in Philippine cinemas on November 12.
Earlier this year, Filipino ARMYs were treated to a special live viewing event, which broadcast the Japan stop of the tour in select Philippine cinemas. The screening allowed ARMYs to enjoy the concert and recreated the live performance on the big screen.
The tour’s encore shows were packed with memorable moments. On Day 1, Jin brought out fellow BTS members j-hope and Jungkook as they performed their solo tracks, along with a medley of their BTS hits, including “My Universe” and “IDOL.” The second day then featured Jimin and Taehyung, joining Jin as they performed the BTS tracks “So What” and an acoustic version of “Spring Day.”
The tour, in support of Jin’s debut album Happy and his second album Echo, kicked off on June 28 in Goyang, South Korea, and continued across North America, Asia, and Europe.
