P-pop sensation BGYO are set to bring their electrifying energy at The Coronation of Miss Universe Philippines 2026, one of the country’s biggest and most anticipated beauty pageants.
Happening on May 2 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena, the five-member group adds even more excitement to the event, where the next Filipina representative to the global stage will be crowned. The announcement was made on April 26 through the organization’s official social media platforms, quickly generating buzz among fans and pageant followers alike.
The competition also confirmed global drag superstar Marina Summers as this year’s host, marking her return to the Miss Universe Philippines stage after her groundbreaking 2024 opening performance of “AMAFILIPINA” — the first for a Filipina drag queen.
Leading up to the coronation night, delegates have already impressed audiences with their creative national costumes, inspired by bodies of water and marine life. During its latest pre-pageant event, the competition unveiled its Top 10 semifinalists at the third elimination round. The newly crowned queen will go on to represent the Philippines at Miss Universe 2026, set this November at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot.
BGYO continue to ride a strong wave of momentum, recently releasing their single “Fresh,” their first drop following their fifth anniversary. Leader Gelo Rivera also collaborated with Vietnamese artist Vũ Thảo My on “Zealous,” expanding the group’s regional reach.
Fresh off major stages — including their first solo concert at New Frontier Theater and Summer Blast at the Philippine Arena — the boys show no signs of slowing down as they gear up to join ASAP XP at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on May 10, shortly after their appearance at The Coronation.
