Beyoncé is now halfway in achieving EGOT status. After being nominated for ten Emmys in the past, Queen B finally wins her first-ever Primetime Emmy Award for the Beyoncé Bowl Netflix special.

The special captures the 2024 NFL Christmas Day halftime performance during the Baltimore Ravens vs. Houston Texans game.

The Television Academy announced the first winners of the categories in the Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards on August 13 (PH Time). The Grammy Award winner won as a costume designer in the Outstanding Costumes for Variety, Nonfiction, or Reality Programming category, which was voted by peer panels instead of through nominations and voting.

The award is also shared with her costume design team: Shiona Turini, Erica Rice, Molly Peters, Chelsea Staebell, and Timothy White.

Aside from the Costume Design category, the special is also nominated for the Outstanding Variety Special (Live) and Outstanding Directing for a Variety Special categories.

Produced by the singer’s Parkwood Entertainment, the show received critical acclaim and broke viewership records. The performance was cited as a success for both Netflix and the NFL, which has slowly made Christmas Gameday and important cultural event in the sport, even likening to the Super Bowl.
