Alicia Keys is getting her own Barbie doll in the 2025 Career of the Year: Women in Music collection — a series from Barbie and Mattel celebrating women who break barriers and inspire the next generation of women in the music industry.
The “Girl on Fire” hitmaker will be honored with her very own “She Is The Music” doll from Barbie and Mattel. She Is The Music is a nonprofit organization founded by Keys and her award-winning recording and mix engineer, Ann Mincieli. The organization aims to increase the number of women in music, including songwriters, producers, engineers, artists, and industry professionals. It offers all-female songwriting camps, mentorship, and education programs.

The 2025 Barbie Women in Music: Career of the Year duo set includes a Musical Artist and Tour Manager Barbie doll. According to Mattel, the set is “designed to inspire the next generation to explore careers in music, both on stage and behind the scenes.” The brand aims to highlight roles beyond the spotlight, such as tour managers — a career in the music industry where women are often underrepresented.
Barbie acknowledges that only 22% of artists on music charts are female. The Barbie Music Artist doll honors the women performing and sharing their music to the world. Meanwhile, the Barbie Tour Manager doll represents the 31% of women in tour management and encourages young girls to explore music careers beyond the stage.
Introduced in 2010, the Barbie Career of the Year collection line highlights Barbie as an inspiration for bright young women by showcasing diverse jobs and professions. The collection introduces a new career every year, from growing industries, influential roles, and fields where women are making a big impact.
The brand recently released a Barbie doll based on American singer-actress Aaliyah, as part of the Music Collector series.
