NINGNING of aespa is officially named the global brand ambassador for Gucci.
The Italian luxury fashion house welcomed the K-pop idol as part of its family. “Known for her distinctive style and bold artistic identity, she is expected to bring a fresh perspective to the brand’s evolving global narrative,” stated in an official press release.
The partnership isn’t entirely surprising, as she has worn the brand in the past for public appearances, red carpet events, and editorial shoots. Before her official appointment, she also attended the Gucci Primavera fashion show during Milan Fashion Week in February.
In her statement celebrating the appointment, Ningning expressed excitement about joining the brand, saying she “I grew up fascinated by Gucci, and it doesn’t feel real that I get to help bring the House’s designs to new generations and tastes.” Additionally, she is honored to help bring the House’s century-long craftsmanship forward.
NINGNING and aespa are gearing up for a comeback with their much-anticipated sophomore album, LEMONADE, set for release later in May. It marks the group’s first full-length project in over two years, following their debut studio album, Armageddon, released in 2024.
In the past, Gucci has worked with various K-pop acts as global ambassadors and brand muses, including Kai of EXO (the first Korean global ambassador for the brand), Jin of BTS, and Hanni of NewJeans.
