This Halloween 2024 we saw some of the best looks from the international and local music scene thus far. Group, individual, and even couple getups have taken social media by storm, showcasing both wit and fashion sense by stepping their costume game up for the witching hour. This year, artists have been taking inspiration from all sorts of places, from nostalgic pop culture references to modern day faves. With unique takes on classic Halloween looks, this year’s dress-up extravaganza has been anything but typical.

The beloved multinational girl group has taken flight and transformed into the Winx Club this Halloween. Perfectly highlighting each of the girls’ charms, the group’s Instagram post of their Halloween costume immediately went viral. With their leader Sophia dressed as Musa, Manon as Flora, Daniela as Stella, Lara as Aisha, Megan as Bloom, and maknae Yoonchae as Tecna, the group added their signature “Touch” to the classic Winx look.

As a witty crack against a recent South Park episode titled South Park: The End of Obesity where they used the artist’s name to label a fictional brand of diet suppressor, Lizzo posted her costume for this year’s Halloween on Instagram, quickly gaining buzz. The outfit features the pop icon literally dressed as a box of these pills, and even used a measuring tape as a belt to poke fun at the satirical gag. In a separate post as well, she posed with a mascot of South Park’s Eric Cartman with the caption of “Mama… a Cartman behind you.”

The multitalented singer/actress has donned a new persona this spooky season as the iconic Jessica Rabbit from Who Framed Roger Rabbit? Perfectly embodying the animated character’s vibes in an Instagram post, Bailey wrote in her caption, “I present to you… Jessica Rabbit.” As vocalist cosplaying vocalist, Bailey brought her own distinct spin on the commonly-done Halloween costume.

Ice Spice is channeling her Fifth Element through her latest Halloween costume. Using her orange hair to impersonate the ’90s film character, the femcee brought out the vintage sci-fi atmosphere with her rendition on Leeloo Dallas. Tying in the eccentric futuristic aura clad in a mixture of shiny metallic spandex and chunky leather boots, the rapper took on an otherworldly look in contrast to her signature early-2000s style.

Romance is in the air with Baguio-bred Cup of Joe’s lead vocalist Rapha Ridao couples’ costume with his girlfriend and fellow artist, Keanna Magracia. As part of the band’s halloween party and show, the power couple dressed as Beetlejuice and Lydia Deetz from the classic Tim Burton film Beetlejuice, that recently experienced a musical revamp this year. The duo was also recently spotted dressed as Rapunzel and Flynn Rider from the Pixar feature, Tangled — they even covered the pair’s duet “I See The Light.”

Taking flight, the Nation’s Girl Group’s main rapper has bore her wings as the White Swan. The girl group member posted her ethereal and pearlescent new look on Instagram yesterday, earning tons of buzz for this chic yet almost angelic getup. In this outfit, Stacey was dressed in pearls and feathers for a modern twist on the signature ballerina look.

Khalid is truly bringing out the ’90s nostalgia on this look. Dressed as the iconic Nickelodeon show Hey Arnold! protagonist’s best friend, Gerald Johanssen, Khalid took on a fun and vibrant getup for this Halloween. In the caption for his Instagram post, the R&B/pop icon detailed that he had previously done the look nine years ago, and said “It’s only right that I take it back.” He also noted that the cut-out numbers on the shirt truly added to the cartoon-esque aura of the outfit.

Vested up as the classic Batman villainess, the group’s lead dancer is having her “Poison Ivy moment,” as she wrote on her Instagram post. Alfea donned this fresh look for a Halloween party involving fellow artists and influencers.

On theme with the Tim Burton remake of the hallmark tale of Alice in Wonderland, the star couple find themselves getting “curiouser and curiouser.” A fun detail, as well, is that in spite of the uncanny and unsettling atmosphere the photo sets, the couple’s stuffed animals sit comfortably behind them.

The queen of cosplay has made her dashing return — and she has proven once more that she never settles for a simple and understated costume. On brand with her previous cosplay getups, this year, Megan Thee Stallion is dressed as JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure‘s tritagonist, Trisha Una. In a photoset exemplifying the well-crafted detail and quality of her costume, the rapper equips her “hot girl stand.” Her prior contribution to “#hottieween” is just as grand, as she transformed into the classic comic version of Teen Titans’ Starfire.
