Released on October 12, 2026 under EMI Records, Habambuhay explores love, memory, and everything in between through 12 tracks that broaden Moonstar88’s songwriting beyond heartache to include loss, family dynamics, faith, and everyday Filipino experiences.
Drawing from their personal experiences and relationships, the band hopes listeners can find their own stories in the album. As Bon said to Billboard Philippines, the title track of the same name, in particular, is “para sa mga tao na may gustong sabihin sa right person, but they don’t know how to collectively say it.”
Bhert also described the album as “universal,” bringing together stories and emotions that resonate with listeners regardless of age or era.

At the heart of Habambuhay is Moonstar88’s goal for their music to remain meaningful long after its release. “Syempre, may aspiration kami na magiging timeless ‘yung legacy namin as a band. Infinite,” the band shared.
The idea extends beyond the music through limited-edition tarot-inspired cards that fans can take home as keepsakes. Maysh explained, “For every album that we release, we always want to make the fans feel that they’re taking home a piece of art. For this one, we came up with art cards inspired by tarot na maiuuwi nila as part of their core memory.”
With audiences spanning different age groups attending their gigs and shows, the band sees the multi-generational appeal of their music as a testament to their lasting impact. Because whether they are dedicating songs to loved ones or drawing from personal anecdotes and everyday experiences, Moonstar88 offers a little something for everyone with Habambuhay.
