September Fever Announces Its Last Edition In 2027
Next year, the Cebuano indie music festival will be capping off ten years of service to the local music scene with “September Fever 10”

On September 17, 2026, September Fever announced that it will be hosting its last iteration from September 25 to 26 in 2027.
The Cebuano indie music festival advertised “September Fever 10” as early as now in a carousel post with the in-post caption “One Last Time.”
“As we sail into our 10th year this 2027, it is with a heavy yet grateful heart to announce that September Fever 10 will be the last September Fever.” The festival announced, following it up with the subtle remark, “…at least organized by us.”
Launched in 2017, the festival recently celebrated its ninth iteration from September 4 to 6, 2026. The music festival and showcase has since grown to be one of the biggest independent regional events celebrating local music.
With the belief that “Cebuano music is alive and thriving,” it has managed not only to invite national acts all over the country like The Itchyworms, ena mori, and Mandaue Nights, but also international artists such as Singaporean singer-songwriter Shye, who appeared in the festival’s last edition.
“September Fever has always been a labor of love and service to the local and regional independent music community.” The festival stated. “It has been a love letter to Cebu’s small businesses, heritage institutions, and DIY communities that serve as the heartbeat of what makes our city a creative city.”
The festival stated that next year would be its last to allow more effort to be directed to its affiliate record label Filla Killa, which also includes a music shop and independent publication.
“In the present, Cebu’s, and by extension, VisMin’s music scene is vibrant and thriving, with different communities and audiences coming together to celebrate local music.” The festival further shared. “Given these realities, we’ll be shifting our focus to other efforts… where we’ll be working on long form projects that archive, preserve, and honor Cebu’s independent music history and future.”
Giving a sneak peek of what they will be serving up next year, the festival announced that it will feature reunions of “some of the best Cebuano indie bands that have come and gone” over two days of performances.
