Giving a glimpse into the magical world of Forgotten Island, H.E.R. and Liza Soberano have dropped their collaborative single, “BRB.”

Released via Back Lot Music on September 8, 2026, the bilingual track appears on the official soundtrack of DreamWorks’ upcoming animated feature Forgotten Island. The song is performed by H.E.R. and Soberano, who also lend their voices to the film’s lead characters, Jo and Raissa, respectively.

Composed by Ryan Tedder and Gabriella Wilson and produced by Tedder and H.E.R., “BRB” is a hopefeul, reassuring song about friendship and staying connected even as life takes you in different directions. The chorus includes the lines: “If you feel a little lost / Maybe a little off track / Just remember where you came from / I’ll be right back / Don’t move / I’ll never forget you.”

The song closes with chants of “Tayo na!” before its final hook switches the English phrase “be right back” to the Filipino “babalik ako.”

“BRB” arrives as the second track unveiled from the soundtrack, following BINI‘s “A Parallel World” which was released on July 23, 2026. The full official soundtrack is set for release on digital streaming platforms on September 18, 2026. It will also feature a reimagined version of INXS’ “Never Tear Us Apart” by KATSEYE‘s Filipina member Sophia Laforteza as well as Francis Magalona’s “Mga Kababayan” by the Kings of P-pop, SB19. Ruby Ibarra also collaborates with Carl Angelo on the song “Salbahe Ako.”

Written and directed by Academy Award nominee Joel Crawford and Januel Mercado, the fantasy adventure comedy follows two best friends who are swept into an unforgettable journey to the magical world of Nakali. The film celebrates the Philippines’ rich culture and music through its largely Filipino voice cast and soundtrack lineup.

Filipino-American R&B singer-songwriter H.E.R. recently visited the Philippines to promote the forthcoming film alongside her co-star Soberano. The pair attended the special homecoming event on August 25, 2026 at the SM Mall of Asia, marking the first international stop of the film’s “Tayo Na!” special events and screenings.

Forgotten Island is set to premiere in Philippine cinemas on September 23, 2026.
