Now representing over 20 artists across a range of genres, Offshore Music began in 2016 as a way for Apartel members Buendia and Pat Sarabia to release music on their own terms. Since then, they have kept the same artist-first philosophy, respecting musicians’ creative freedom and willingness to make music beyond commercial expectations.
“Offshore Music started as a creative space for artists to make music freely, without being boxed in,” Dionisio added. “A lot has changed in terms of how we operate, but the idea remains the same: to support good music, encourage individuality, and help artists grow while staying true to who they are.”
The record label’s tenth anniversary celebration follows the release of episode one of its five-part Offshore Music PH 10th Anniversary Docuseries on May 31. With later episodes set to be released on YouTube throughout the year, the series will revisit the label’s history, featuring artists’ testimonials, behind-the-scenes footage, interviews, and more.
