Today (August 7, 2026), Ravyn Lenae releases her third studio album, Blue Island, through Atlantic Records, serving as the follow-up to her 2024 album, Bird’s Eye.
“Executive-produced by Bird’s Eye collaborator and GRAMMY Award-winning producer Dahi, Blue Island is an immersive world shaped by poise, playfulness, and the confidence of an artist who knows momentum is only the beginning,” says the press release for the album.
The release of the 14-track record follows on the heels of her hit 2024 single “Love Me Not,” which reached No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 10 on the Billboard Global 200. The song also charted in several countries, including the Philippines, where it peaked at No. 23 on the Billboard Philippines Hot 100.
Lenae dives deep into introspection on the record, expanding both her sound and artistry through a project that magnifies her identity. Much of that exploration stems from her search for belonging within music spaces. Drawing inspiration from artists such as Santigold, Janet Jackson, and Tracy Chapman, she uses the album to express herself while honoring the influence of Black women musicians who have shaped her artistic journey.

“Blue Island is a point of arrival, and feeling set in my ways and in who I am, and feeling free of any of those preconceived notions about Blackness or what I had to be in the past. So I think now it’s fun to challenge the idea of what R&B is supposed to sound like, what pop is supposed to sound like… and really say ‘fuck all of that’ and do my own thing,” Lenae talks about the record in a press release.

With 2025 undoubtedly marking a breakthrough year for the singer-songwriter, Lenae made appearances on major television shows, delivered her debut performances at Coachella and Lollapalooza in her hometown of Chicago, and also staged her sold-out, four-show residency spanning two nights at the Blue Note Jazz Club.
