P-pop boy group 1st.One offer fans a first glimpse of their forthcoming studio album with the release of its title track, “Gigil,” on July 24, 2026.
Ahead of their album launch party, the six-member act unveiled the hard-hitting lead single, giving listeners a first taste of the group’s rebranded sound and artistic direction.
Marking their sixth anniversary in the industry, their first-ever full-length album GIGIL arrives on August 1, 2026 with 10 tracks, including the newly released title song and previously released singles, “Kung Saan Saan” and “Gusto Mo Ba” featuring jikamarie. The members have described the album as the closest representation yet of the sound they want to create, with each member contributing creatively throughout the project.
Produced by Kenneth Ponce and written by the members themselves, “Gigil” confronts the struggles and setbacks the group has endured over the past six years while affirming their determination to keep moving forward. With lyrics like “Tinapaktapakan hanggang sa maging abo / ‘Di mo alam na tamang hintay lang ako / Rise from the ashes, wipe the dust ’cause we gon’ make it / Lahat ay gagawin kahit na maging praning,” the song serves as a defiant statement to rise above doubt and continue in chasing your dreams.
In a heartfelt social media post, 1st.One also shared the lyrics they wrote for the track, writing: “Sa unang pagkakataon, sumulat kami ng mga berso na hango lamang sa kwento namin; mga salitang nabuo mula sa mga taong hindi nagpahinto, at lalong hindi nagpapapigil.“
(“For the first time, we wrote verses drawn solely from our own story; words formed from the people who refused to stop, and certainly refused to be held back.”)
1st.One debuted on July 31, 2020 under FirstOne Entertainment. Composed of members Ace, Max, Alpha, J, Russ (formerly Joker), and Jayson, the group made their official debut with “You Are The One (Ttak Maja Nuh)” after three years of intensive training.
In celebration of their sixth anniversary, the members will hold their GIGIL Album Launch Party at Dogzilla Studio in Caloocan City on August 1, 2026.
