South Korean indie rock band The Rose are heading to Manila as part of their highly anticipated Rosetopia World Tour before taking an indefinite hiatus.
Officially confirmed on June 1, the band unveiled the Asian leg of their world tour, with stops in the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan, and more. Presented by HY LIVE and L-Squared Productions Philippines, the Manila show marks their return to the country after two years.
The Rose — composed of Kim Woosung on vocals and guitar, Park Dojoon on keyboard, Lee Hajoon on drums, and Lee Jaehyeong on bass — first announced their indefinite hiatus through their social media on April 10. In a heartfelt message to fans, the group shared: “With our upcoming album ROSE and the tour ROSETOPIA, we want to close this chapter with you the way it deserves… This isn’t a goodbye. It’s just… once in a blue moon.”
Shortly after, the group released their latest single, “Blue Moon,” as well as revealed their Rosetopia World Tour schedule. The global run will take the band across North America, Mexico, Brazil, and Europe from June through August before heading to Asia.
Best known for their fan-favorite tracks such as “Sorry,” “Back To Me,” and “She’s In The Rain,” The Rose are also preparing for the release of their forthcoming album, ROSE, with further details yet to be announced.
