BTS, KATSEYE, sombr, Sabrina Carpenter, Bruno Mars, and HUNTR/X‘s EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami emerged as some of the biggest winners at the 2026 American Music Awards (AMAs), taking home three awards each during the ceremony.
Airing live on CBS and Paramount+, the fan-voted award show took place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on May 26, 2026 at 8 AM PHT. The ceremony was hosted by Queen Latifah, who returned as host for the first time in more than 30 years.

First-time nominees KATSEYE and sombr both delivered performances during the show and earned three wins each. Performing their latest single “PINKY UP” on the AMAs stage, KATSEYE won New Artist of the Year, Breakthrough Pop Artist, and Best Music Video for “Gnarly.”

Meanwhile, sombr performed “Homewrecker” and received the Breakthrough Rock/Alternative Artist award, Best Rock/Alternative Song for “back to friends,” and the Best Rock/Alternative Album for I Barely Know Her.
BTS who opened the show with a special performance of “Hooligan,” extended their AMA record with three more trophies, bringing their total wins to 14. The South Korean boy group won Artist of the Year, Best Male K-pop Artist, and Song of the Summer for “SWIM.”
Also scoring three wins, Sabrina Carpenter took home her first-ever AMA victories, with Album of the Year and Best Pop Album for Man’s Best Friend, as well as Best Female Pop Artist. Likewise, Bruno Mars earns three awards, winning Best Male R&B Artist, Best R&B Song for “I Just Might,” and Best R&B Album for The Romantic.
Behind the iconic fictional girl group, HUNTR/X, from the film KPop Demon Hunters, EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami also collected three awards together, winning Song of the Year, Best Vocal Performance, and Best Pop Song for fan-favorite anthem, “Golden.” EJAE also received Best Soundtrack for KPop Demon Hunters.
Celebrating several first-time winners, the 2026 AMAs also awarded Leon Thomas, PinkPantheress, Noah Kahan, among others.
