“We’re finally back where we’re meant to be.” Netflix has released the official trailer for BTS: THE RETURN, the documentary film chronicling BTS‘ journey as they get ready for their much-awaited comeback this month.

Directed by Bao Nguyen (The Greatest Night in Pop), the trailer gives a glimpse of the group’s reunion after their hiatus, during which each member completed mandatory military service. It also offers a moment for them to rediscover themselves as artists, making their return to the studio to create new music.

As trends shift and the group gears up for their comeback, the film also highlights a behind-the-scenes look into them creating ARIRANG, their first full-band release in over six years.

The trailer also shows the group confronting questions about identity, legacy, and reinvention, especially at this stage in their career. “In the military, time just passed by. But here in LA, you really feel the impermanence of time. And we’re trying to find out what makes us BTS,” says RM.
