Rising P-pop girl group VVINK have just released their latest single, titled “Kailan Ka Aamin.”

On the new track, VVINK navigate an experience that many of us are all too familiar with — one of being in a situation where two people who feel the same way can’t bring themselves towards the catharsis of a confession. Written by Nica del Rosario and produced by Jumbo De Belen, the track balances heartfelt and confessional lyricism with a blend of bubblegum elements and ’80s-inspired synth-pop production to make an earnest bop that speaks to the universal experience of falling in love and building up the courage to finally admit it both to one’s self and a potential significant other.

Unlike VVINK’s other tracks, their latest single allows the girl group’s vocal talents to take center stage, carrying a dreamlike quality that sets it apart from its previous releases. “Kailan Ka Amin was inspired by MilkLove, my favorite Thai GL pair who have starred together in various GL series,” shared Nica del Rosario, the song’s composer, in an official press statement.

“Working with Sir Jumbo De Belen and Ms. Nica del Rosario was such a great experience for us,” added VVINK, explaining the process of how they felt when they first heard the track. “When we first heard the demo, the emotion was already very strong. They really guided us through the meaning of the lyrics, so we understood the story before recording. The demo felt personal, but the final version feels complete. It still has the same heart, but now it sounds more VVINK.”

Together with the track’s release, an accompanying music video directed by Nolan Bernardino and Dondi Narciso was also shared, highlighting the group’s performance against a varied set of settings — an urban skyline and a dreamlike forest backdrop. Check it out in its entirety below:

As the group’s first release of the year, “Kailan Ka Aamin” marks a new era for VVINK as they showcase more of their versatility as performers and a willingness to explore new sonic and storytelling approaches through their music. The single follows their string of singles from last year, which include the critically acclaimed “Baduy” featuring budots pioneer DJ Love and Pio Balbuena, as well as “Tatlong Hiling” and their debut single “Tulala.”

The pop quintet, comprised of Angelika, Ayaka, Jean, Mariel, and Odri, were recently nominated alongside “Baduy” at Billboard Philippines‘ forthcoming Women In Music 2026 awards under the Listener’s Choice category. With the track listed as one of the best OPM song releases of 2025, Billboard Philippines praised it for “blending hyper-pop production with the Philippines’ novelty sound of budots,” which made “the track an absolute burst of energy that adds a new set of sounds to the growing P-pop scene.”

Voting for the Listener’s Choice category at Billboard Philippines‘ 2026 Women In Music celebration is still underway, so make sure to cast your vote for VVINK and “Baduy” here.
