Filipino music power couple, KZ Tandingan and TJ Monterde, has just come out with a joint single, a duet titled “Hiraya Manawari.” Written in Tagalog, the song’s title directly translates to the phrase, “May the wishes of your heart be granted.” A powerful and emotionally moving ballad, the track was released on the duo’s 11th anniversary together.
In a video post teasing the track, Monterde shares, “I’m trying to write a song, and it’s not a love song. It’s not the usual love song, but it’s a song that talks about two people who found each other and share the same special dream together. They’re hoping na sana (that hopefully) one day, maabot nila ang mga pangarap nilang dalawa (they will reach their dreams), and hoping, praying, wishing that one day God will give them all the desires of their hearts.” He concludes, “This is ‘Hiraya Manawari.'”
This is the pair’s first musical drop together since their chart-topping duet “Palagi,” which was released in August 2024.
