ALAMAT members Jao and Alas make their acting debut, joining the cast of the new Viva One series, Hell University, based on the popular Wattpad Philippine mystery-thriller novel of the same name.

Directed by Bobby Bonifacio Jr., Hell University follows a group of friends who enroll at a hidden school and struggle to survive during a nightly event called “Bloody Night,” held from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM. During this all-out brawl, acts of violence, including murder, are permitted, forcing them to face the dangerous gangs that control the campus.

The cast includes Heart Ryan as Zein Shion, Zeke Polina as Ace Craige, Lance Carr as Raze, Aubrey Caraan as Samantha, Andre Yllana as Matt, Gabbi Ejercito as Mia, Derrick Ong of the P-pop group GAT as Dave, Jac Abellana as Jerome, Jastine Lim as Vanessa, Jemima Rivera as Nicky, and Keagan de Jesus as Nazzer.

The web novel, written by author KnightInBlack, has amassed over 179 million reads on Wattpad. The series adaptation was first announced in August 2025 and is a co-production between Studio Viva and Webtoon Productions.

With ALAMAT’s Jao and Alas kicking off 2026 with a bang as they venture beyond music and into acting, this comes on the heels of the group’s sophomore album, Destino, released in November 2025. The album features the tracks “LuzViMinda,” “Hiraya,” and “Sa’Yo Pa Rin Uuwi.”
