Filipino ska-rock band Dilaw are set to host a special album launch event for their latest record, RARARA, in celebration of its release on the physical media format.
RARARA’s CD release event is scheduled to take place on January 30, 2025, at Backspacer Records‘ physical store in Kapitolyo, Pasig City, and will entail access to newly launched merchandise, as well as an exclusive live performance by the band themselves. According to the post announcement, the intimate event is open for registration to the public here, but it will provide priority access to fans who purchase the CD. Selected attendees will be notified of their confirmed slots to the event, though walk-ins will not be accepted.
Even for fans unable to attend the event, the CD release of Dilaw’s RARARA is available to order from Backspacer Records’ online webstore at a price point of Php 1,000 here. The record marks Dilaw’s first full-length record, following a period of radio silence that came after the release of their 2023 single, “Orasa.”
Following their journey “through the highs and lows of life”, Dilaw’s RARARA serves as a ten-track story of perseverance, growth, and finding strength in the pursuit of happiness –– while also featuring the “Nilalalng”, “Mahal”, and “YIEEE.” In an interview with Billboard Philippines, the band opened up about the process of bringing the album to life, and how they had to embrace the spirit of adventure throughout the process. “For all of us, we were just confident in what we had to say with the album, whether it was with our instruments, or with our words, or with our voice,” said Leon Altomonte.
