A$AP Rocky has teamed up with Chanel for a striking new short film, released on November 30, 2025, coinciding with his appointment as the luxury house’s new ambassador.

The near-three-minute film also stars actress Margaret Qualley and is directed by acclaimed filmmaker Michel Gondry, best known for Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Set to a dreamy score by dance/electronic artist Le Motel, the film begins with the pair waking up together and unfolds into a surreal journey: Qualley hurries into a subway, while Rocky, dressed in red silk pajamas. He sprints through Manhattan streets, diving into a river and ultimately arriving in dramatic fashion to propose to her.

More than just a film, the project serves as a prelude to Chanel’s upcoming Métiers d’Art 2026 show in New York, under the creative direction of Matthieu Blazy. The show is scheduled for December 3, 2025 (PH Time). With Blazy at the helm, the luxury house has ushered in a new era. The house has named celebrities like Nicole Kidman and Ayo Edebiri, among its new ambassadors.

For the Harlem-raised rapper, 2025 has proven to be a landmark year for his ventures beyond the world of music. He starred in the Denzel Washington-led and Spike Lee-directed Highest 2 Lowest, and contributed to its soundtrack with tracks like “Trunks” and “Both Eyes Closed.” He also appeared in the A24 psychological drama If I Had Legs I’d Kick You.

In addition to his acting career, he co-launched the cult fashion label VLONE in 2016 and continues to release new collections. He also co-chaired the 2025 Met Gala. Beyond his role as Chanel ambassador, he currently serves as the creative director for Puma F1 and Ray-Ban.
