Following yet another mysterious countdown on her official website, Taylor Swift has unveiled two special new variants of her forthcoming album, The Life of a Showgirl, in the vinyl format.
The newly announced ‘limited run, first and only pressing’ variant of Swift’s upcoming record features a brand new and exclusive cover artwork (photographed by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott), and is officially titled The Life of a Showgirl: The Shiny Bug Edition. Exclusively available to the pop superstar’s webstore for a period of 48 hours only, this version of the album is available on two unique vinyl colorways, ‘Wintergreen & Onyx Marbled vinyl’ and ‘Violet Shimmer Marbled vinyl.’ Even with the countdown ending on August 20, 2025, at 1:59 PM (EST), the records will be available on her site until supplies last before then.

Just like the previously announced vinyl edition of Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl, the records are priced at $29.99, exclusive of shipping and tax fees. They mark the second and third versions of the highly anticipated album, following the standard ‘Sweat and Vanilla Perfume Portofino Orange Glitter’ vinyl variant that features the album’s standard artwork. Additionally, Swift previously revealed three other alternative covers, exclusive to the CD format, and they were only available for a limited amount of time on the pop icon’s site.
The “Shake It Off” hitmaker is no stranger to releasing several collectible versions of her studio albums, as seen with her recent releases The Tortured Poets Department, 1989 (Taylor’s Version), Midnights, and Speak Now (Taylor’s Version), among others. Swift popularized the trend with the surprise release of Folklore back in 2020, with seven of the album’s eight collectible covers being valued for over hundreds of dollars on the aftermarket.
The Life of a Showgirl is scheduled to be released this October 3, 2025, and features contributions from Max Martin and Shellback on both the songwriting and production front. According to Swift, the album will only comprise of twelve tracks and no deluxe versions, and will include a special guest feature from Sabrina Carpenter on its very own title track.
