Yesterday, the band took to their official social media pages to premiere a video teaser hinting at the freshly released single. In the short snippet, we hear the band singing “Black and white,” before taking off into a warm, summer-y guitar riff. In similar fashion, the band has changed the covers of their discography and official photo in their Spotify profile to all be black and white.
Additionally, the band has announced they would be celebrating their upcoming album launch on September 6 at Soundcheck Studios, Pasig City. Joining the show will be fellow Filipino artists like Kenaniah, Novocrane, and KMKZ. Tickets for the concert are being sold at Php. 700 for General Admission — buy yours here.
This would mark the band’s third release of the year, following their two singles “Mahal” and “Flying Kiss.” The former was released at the start of the year, on January 24, being a youthful anthem of love. The latter, “Flying Kiss,” was debuted on May 16, and stood as a subdued song of bittersweet farewell, being a tender approach to the typical break-up track.
Dilaw are a six-piece Filipino rock band signed with Warner Music, composed of members Dilaw Obero (vocals), Vie Dela Rosa (guitar), Wayne Dela Rosa (bass guitar), Leon Karlos (guitar), En Altomonte (keyboards, synths), and Tóbi Samson (drums). The band is best known for their hits “Uhaw (Tayong Lahat),” “Janice,” “Orasa,” and more. In spite of having many hits under their belt, the group has yet to release a full-length studio album.
