A Closer Look At Billboard PH's Pinoy Hip-Hop Mixtape 2025 Party

Last night (July 28, 2025), several of the biggest and most prominent names in the rapidly growing Filipino rap scene came together to celebrate the first-ever iteration of Billboard Philippines‘ Pinoy Hip-Hop Mixtape party.

Taking place at the Stratosphere Events Hall in Makati City, the event comprised of beloved industry figures, rap legends, and rising stars alike in one momentous occasion that honors a genre that is often overlooked and underappreciated by the mainstream. Because if there’s anything that was proven by what took place at the party, it’s clear that the movement of Filipino hip-hop is absolutely louder than ever.

Of course, in attendance at the event was this year’s lineup of acts being celebrated at the Pinoy Hip-Hop Mixtape campaign, including the likes of Hev Abi, Alex Bruce, Costa Cashman, Robledo Timido, Nio, and Waiian. What took place at the party was more than just a celebration of their accomplishments, achievements, and contributions to the scene — it also acted as a special gathering of talents that honored the flow and unity of which the genre has brought forth into the scene.
