Worlds are set to collide as Grammy-winning artist Billie Eilish joins forces with legendary filmmaker and Academy Award-winner James Cameron for a mysterious new 3D project.
The unexpected collaboration was revealed during the “Birds of a Feather” singer’s ‘Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour’ stop at Co-op Live in Manchester, England.
While the full details remain under wraps, Eilish confirmed that she’s filming something special, requiring her to wear the same outfit across four consecutive nights at the venue from July 19 to 23 — where the Avatar director himself has been spotted in attendance.
Eilish addressed the crowd directly, saying, “So you may have noticed that there are more cameras than usual in here. Basically, I can’t say much about it but what I can say is that I’m working on something very, very special with somebody named James Cameron and it’s going to be in 3D.”
The Manchester shows are part of her ongoing world tour in support of her third studio album, Hit Me Hard and Soft. Kicking off in September 2024 in Canada, the tour spans Asia, Europe, North America, and Oceania. It is set to conclude in November with two-night shows at the Chase Center in San Francisco, California.
Eilish previously starred in her own 2021 Apple TV+ documentary Billie Eilish: The World’s a Little Blurry and the concert film Happier Than Ever: A Love Letter to Los Angeles, released on Disney+.
On the other hand, Cameron will return to his ambitious science fiction blockbuster franchise with the third installment, Avatar: Fire and Ash, set to be released in December 2025.
