Demi Lovato has been in the kitchen lately and is releasing her debut cook book One Plate at a Time: Recipes for Finding Freedom with Food, which will be released on March 31, 2026.

The “Heart Attack” singer took to Instagram to share the news, saying, “Stepping into the kitchen and learning how to cook has been such an important part of my recovery and healing my relationship with food.”

She adds how this experience allowed her to reconnect with herself and find joys in the kitchen, “It has allowed me to see cooking as an act of love and kindness to myself and those in my life, and I hope this book can bring that same feeling into your home, too.”

The cookbook features over 80 simple and comforting recipes, and promises readers with no professional cooking skills easy-to-make dishes.

Throughout the years, Lovato struggled with eating disorders and this venture was for others to have good relationships with food. In 2020, she opened up about her eating disorder to model and television presenter Ashley Graham on her Pretty Big Deal podcast. She shared how she was trying a new approach to her career, “running myself into the ground with workouts and extreme dieting.”

Last year, she shared an update about her health on the Podcrushed podcast with actor Penn Badgley, “This body is strong. This body saved my life and fought for my life when I overdosed. This body is a miracle.’”

Meanwhile, when it comes to new music coming soon, Lovato didn’t leave her fans hanging on Instagram, saying, “Don’t worry, I’ve been cooking outside of the kitchen too.”
