On her latest single, Asia’s Soul Supreme, KZ Tandingan, is at her rawest and most open yet. Today (March 14), the balladeer released her latest single, “Numbers.” The fresh track is an introspective look into the artist’s deepest thoughts, baring all of Tandingan’s worries and insecurities — yet at its core, remains as a message of hope to all of her listeners.

In a previous interview with Billboard Philippines, the artist shared on the topic of authenticity: “Siguro sobrang importante s’akin na (It’s important to me that) I always show who I am.” She added, “I’d rather have people hate me for who I am than love me for who I’m not.” In that light, she encouraged people to embrace their own authenticity as well.

This follows Tandingan’s recent premiere of her short film, Ikaw, Kelan?, that accompanied her Valentine’s queer love ballad “Nagmamahal Lang Ako.” The singer-songwriter is also gearing up to release her next album, Soul Supremacy II.
