UDD — formerly Up Dharma Down — have teamed up with Just Hush for a new song.

On December 6, 2024, the indie electronic veterans released a new single, entitled “gtara,” with R&B/hip-hop artist and Viva Records labelmate Just Hush joining them on the track. First announced last December 4, this notably serves as the second collaboration between them, following 2019’s “‘Di Ka Mawala.”

“gtara” is the follow-up to UDD’s previous single “kapoy” — another collaborative effort, with the trio teaming up with Iloilo City-hailing singer-songwriter ZOYA — released last August 16. Overall, the brand-new track with Just Hush marks UDD’s fourth single since becoming a trio this year, following ““run deep” and “nanaman,” which were released last March 31 and June 7 respectively.

These singles are expected to be the lead-up to UDD’s upcoming fifth album that is currently in the works, serving as the long-awaited follow-up to their 2019 record, U D D. They also celebrated their 20th anniversary this 2024, releasing limited edition shirts to commemorate the milestone.

Meanwhile, Jush Hush also released a string of singles this year: “$tr33t$” with Third Flo’, Toney Chrome, and Jo$h Papers, “butterfly FX/love is getting stronger,” “enrico’s freestyle,” “AKNG BHLA SAYO” with Mistah Lefty, and “NLGA (woop!).” In addition, he also released an album entitled tondoboysinatra:episode I last September 27.
