It’s time to go fishing with Jin of BTS.
On October 11, the BTS member came out with an extended version of his single “Super Tuna,” initially released last December 4, 2021.The song – which is a straightforward track about going fishing for tuna and other fish – quickly became popular among fans following its release, thanks to its lighthearted, catchy lyrics and bright, synth-heavy instrumentals.
“Get ready for the new and improved ‘Super Tuna,’ which will have your hearts leaping with life once more!” stated BTS’ label BIG HIT MUSIC in an announcement on October 10. “We hope this song fills your days with laughter and happiness. Thank you for always cherishing and loving BTS.”
In addition, Jin also premiered a brand-new accompanying music video for the track which you can watch below:
The extended version of “Super Tuna” serves as the long-awaited follow-up to Jin’s single “The Astronaut,” released last October 2022, as well as his first release since being discharged from his mandatory military service last June 12. It was first showcased live at the 2024 FESTA – a celebration event that the BTS member held last June 13 as a way of expressing his gratitude towards fans following his discharge from his military duties.
Prior to the release of the brand-new version of “Super Tuna,” Jin had been busy with other endeavors outside of music. This includes representing South Korea as the country’s torchbearer at the 2024 Paris Olympics, becoming the first global ambassador of FRED Jewelry, as well as a new global ambassador for Gucci.
