Clara Benin is back with another remix of one of her songs from befriending my tears.

On September 20, the indie singer-songwriter unveiled a brand-new rendition of her song “different…” in the form of a remix by lo-fi musician Kenyama. The remix showcases a major sonic contrast to the original version of the track, going for a more upbeat, nostalgic synth-laden vibe compared to the original’s more somber and melancholic acoustic tone.

It is the second remix Benin has come out with in the past few weeks, with the first one being of her hit single “small town,” remixed by renowned DJ and producer crwn, released last August 28. She first teased the release of the new version of “different…” last September 18, thanking her followers for the love they have shown for the “small town” remix.

The original version of “different…” was first released as a single back in January 2023 and serves as the fourth track on Benin’s sophomore album befriending my tears, released last August 11, 2023.

Kenyama, formerly known as Ryoku, has notably shared the stage with Benin in the past before, performing at the music video launch for her fan-favorite track “Parallel Universe” back in March 2018.

Benin is set to hold a special send-off show in Manila this October ahead of her appearance at SXSW Sydney 2024. With I Belong To The Zoo serving as a special guest, find out more about the special gig here.
