K-pop superstar and phenomenon Jennie has signed with Columbia Records and is set to drop a new single.

Today (September 9), Jennie put out a statement announcing the partnership of her own label and entertainment company, ODDATELIER, and massive media label, Columbia Records. In a joint post between Jennie and Columbia Records, they declared their newfound union with the caption, “We are family.” In addition to this exciting shift, she announced that she will be dropping a new solo single in October.

This follows her work on HBO’s The Idol, where she teamed up with artists Lily-Rose Depp and The Weeknd on the track “One of the Girls” which garnered over a billion streams on Spotify alone. This smash hit marked Jennie’s distinction as the first female Korean soloist to achieve a platinum RIAA song. Earlier this year, as well, Jennie collaborated with iconic Korean rapper ZICO in their viral single “SPOT!
