SB19 just proved once again why they’re the Kings of P-pop.
The Filipino boy group delivered a hard-hitting rendition of their global hit “GENTO” tonight (August 27, 2024) to close out the coveted Billboard K POWER 100. Seeing some of today’s biggest names in Korean music like EXO-CBX, Chung Ha, and Jay Park in attendance, SB19 staged an unforgettable and ground-shaking performance that showcased their innate power and command over the crowd.
While this is not the first time SB19 performed “GENTO,” it marks a moment much bigger. From their incomparable live vocals to their dynamic choreography, the group showcased the power of P-pop for the entire world to see. Leaving an indelible impression on the crowd, their performance is a testimony not only to SB19’s talents as performers but the capabilities of the entire P-pop community.
Beyond their performance, SB19 were also chosen by Billboard Philippines to receive the Voices Of Asia Award for their resounding impact on P-pop. In their acceptance speech, the group dedicated the recognition to the Philippine music industry, sharing that their fellow Filipino artists continue to inspire them to spark change with their music.
“This milestone belongs not just to us, but to the entire P-pop movement and everyone sharing Filipino creativity across Asia and the world,” said Josh.

“GENTO” comes as SB19’s latest hit, serving as the lead single off of their EP, PAGTATAG!. Since its initial release in May 2023, the song has gained virality online, even sparking dance challenges all across the world. Most notably, SB19 previously took the stage with Japanese group &TEAM to perform “GENTO” at last year’s Asia Artist Awards in the Philippines.
