Billboard Philippines returned for another landmark edition of the prestigious Women In Music event, and it didn’t fall short of unforgettable moments and legacy celebrations — highlighting the women who have shaped the sound of the past, present, and future of OPM.

On March 24, 2026, at the Maybank Performing Arts Theater in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, Billboard Philippines Women In Music 2026 showcased the women who have defined and redefined the sound and direction of Filipino music across generations. From industry legends and icons to emerging voices shaping the future, the event celebrated the evolution of the local music scene and paid tribute to the women behind it.

Kicking off the night were the fan-voted categories, shifting the power to the people. KAIA took home the Listener’s Choice Award for their fan-favorite bubblegum pop anthem “TANGA.” The rising five-member P-pop girl group, which debuted in 2021, continues to make its mark on the scene. With this achievement and milestone under their belt, they are only set to rise higher.

Meanwhile, Ashtine Olviga earned the People’s Choice Award, recognized as one of the most influential Filipinas in today’s music scene. The rising singer-actress is poised to make an even bigger impact, anchored by a strong, loyal fanbase that continues to support her through and through. With her artistry and presence in the industry, not just in the local music scene but also in entertainment, Olviga continues to carve out her own path.

KZ Tandingan, Asia’s Soul Supreme, received the Rule Breaker Award in recognition of her tenacity and fearlessness in continually evolving as an artist. Known for refusing to be boxed in by expectations, she continues to redefine what it means to be an artist in the local music scene, pushing boundaries not only in sound but also through her performances, while staying authentic and still setting the bar for others to reach.

If it wasn’t fitting for her husband and fellow singer-songwriter TJ Monterde to present her the award — having witnessed her journey through the years — it would be hard to find a more heartwarming moment. As she continues to inspire the next generation of artists not to be bound by trends or what others are doing, Tandingan further exemplifies what it means to experiment with her sound and take risks. Reinvention is one thing, but she has long proven that after over a decade in the industry, she continues to grow while remaining authentic.

When it comes to being fierce and empowered Filipinas, G22 undoubtedly embody this with their “palaban” (fighting) attitude both on and off the stage. The Female Alphas of P-pop received the Rising Star Award in recognition of their fast-growing presence and rising influence within the genre. The ever-evolving P-pop landscape has a place for the talented trio, and they are among those leading the way in redefining what it means to be performers, with high-energy performances and fierce vocals that immediately stand out among the rest.

In the years to come, G22 are poised to be more than just rising stars in our books, as they continue to evolve and serve as a testament to their growing artistry and impact in the scene.

With over 20 years as a consistent all-out performer, songwriter, and hitmaker, it is only fitting that the Philippines’ Pop Rock Royalty, Yeng Constantino, receives the Hitmaker Award. Her catalog of songs has pierced through the local music scene and Philippine pop culture. Consistently delivering hits and fan-favorite tracks such as “Ikaw,” “Chinito,” and “Jeepney Love Story” — Constantino is one of OPM’s most enduring forces and voices.

This award cemented her status as one of OPM’s most influential hitmakers, a recognition of a career built on honest and authentic songwriting and a consistent commitment to her artistry, capturing the hearts and ears of Filipino listeners through the years. As they say, this is only just the beginning — even after all she has already achieved and despite what some may consider her peak, there is still so much more ahead in her journey.

When you look up the meaning of the word “powerhouse,” it is defined as “a person or thing of great energy, strength, or power.” This word aptly fits a group that has consistently become a major force in the industry, making an impact across every corner, and proving that if one woman is powerful, then all the more when there are eight. Ahead of their history-making performance at the 2026 Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival on April 10 and 17, Billboard Philippines rides on that momentum in honoring the Nation’s Girl Group with the Powerhouse Award. To say that they are a powerhouse in the local music scene would be an understatement.

Through the years, and through both highs and lows, BINI have braved challenges and adversity to make their mark. As they have captured the Filipino zeitgeist, driven by their fandom, Blooms, the years have brought one milestone after another for the group. It is safe to say that they have become a force of nature in the industry, consistently producing trending hits and a presence that has redefined what an influential act can be.

To this day, that legacy continues to live on through a new generation of Filipino artists and songwriters who use music as a medium to send messages, make an impact, and contribute to cultural conversations that are integral to our history. Carrying over 50 years as a trailblazer in the local music scene, having started her career in 1976, this recognition speaks volumes about her influence and the groundwork she has laid in OPM.

The coveted Women of the Year award is given to an icon in her own right, with a voice that has resonated not only in the Philippines but on the global stage, earning her the moniker “Asia’s Songbird.” Indeed, this award serves as the cherry on top of her celebration, as Regine Velasquez-Alcasid marks her 40th anniversary in the industry with a fitting capstone that honors decades of excellence and influence, while also serving as a well-deserved recognition of her legacy.

Through the years, she has become the standard for an artist with pure vocal tenacity, and remaining in the industry all these years proves that her longevity in OPM should not go unnoticed. From sold-out concerts to timeless hits that have defined generations of listeners, her career stands as a testament to how hard work and excellence can achieve so much, along with the dedication, heart, and grit required to sustain a lasting legacy in the industry.

Even as new voices in present and future OPM continue to emerge in today’s evolving musical landscape, she serves as an inspiration for artists looking to carve their own path and showcase their artistry grounded in discipline and authenticity, while building a strong connection with listeners across generations.

Both in hindsight and beyond the awards, Billboard Philippines Women in Music continues to champion empowered female voices in OPM, highlighting the importance of representation, recognition, and empowerment in a historically male-dominated industry.
