Renowned Filipina talents such as KAIA, dwta, VVINK, ena mori, Zae, SHNTI, and SUYEN are among the nominees for the Listeners’ Choice category at this year’s iteration of Billboard Philippines‘ Women In Music awards.

First established in the inaugural edition of Billboard Philippines‘ Women In Music event back in 2024, the Listeners’ Choice category brings the voting power straight to the listeners –– recognizing the impact of these nominees’ music on the individuals who have been directly influenced, moved, and affected by their music.

The Listeners’ Choice category is a fan-voted award that recognizes the resonance of fan-favorite anthems from a variety of musical genres, also honoring which song has soundtracked your most vulnerable moments, has allowed you to feel empowered, has gotten you up to the dancefloor, or just undeniably deserves way more recognition from the general public despite it’s status as a great song.

With this year’s diverse lineup of nominees, fans will be able to vote for their favorite songs from these artists, with the winner set to be revealed and awarded during Billboard Philippines’ third Women In Music event happening later this March 2026.

KAIA – “Tanga”

KAIA’s bubblegum pop comeback with the single “Tanga” is undeniably a high point in the rising P-pop group’s career, notably being recognized as one of the 25 Best Filipino Songs of 2025 listed by the Billboard Philippines staff. In our writeup for the track, it was “noted as the perfect example of P-pop excellence,” having lured us in “with its infectious chorus, catchy hooks, and the quintet’s heavenly vocals all throughout.” The undeniable earworm is an intriguing, and equally promising, look at what we could expect from KAIA moving forward — brewing anticipation for their next release, whenever that may arrive.

VVINK – “Baduy”

VVINK have made an impressive debut within the time span of just a few months, following their phenomenal streak of singles like “Tulala” and “Tatlong Hiling,” yet the impact they’ve made with “Baduy” alone has established their presence as serious breakout stars in the growing P-pop scene. “Baduy” reclaims the very meaning of its title, turning it into an empowering, yet joyful celebration of Filipino pop culture, while its upbeat nature and playful rhythm linger in our heads and ears well after one playthrough.

dwta – “Nasusunog (Pants On Fire)”

dwta embraces her fiery side with the acclaimed single “Nasusunog (Pants On Fire,)” stepping away from her signature folk sound and trading it for alternative rock instrumentation that is paired with an empowering set of confessionals for the song. It’s an impressive display of her artistic growth, seeing her blend the languages of Filipino and English in one song (for the first time ever), and uses its poignant lyricism to express a complex set of emotions in a cathartic manner, making it all the more relatable for many of us going through a similar experience.

SHNTI, Zae – “BWYB”

Sometimes, we just need to find our groove and feel our best self — just as SHNTI and Zae’s viral collaboration, “BWYB,” has allowed so many of us to do. It’s fun, fresh, and filled with enough witty quips to enthrall anyone upon first listen, almost like Ariana Grande’s hit single “break up with your boyfriend I’m bored,” even if it doesn’t demand itself to be taken too seriously. But beyond its subject matter, “BWYB” is an undeniable bop, given its catchy chorus, banging beats, and innovative production, deserving way more attention than it has been given.

SUYEN – “Isang Linggong Maghihintay”

SUYEN could easily be described as the voice of a new generation of musicians — capturing feelings of angst and heartbreak with such authenticity and sincerity. The surprise hit off her SUYEN IMNIDA EP, “Isang Linggong Maghihintay,” is a stellar example of that, evoking what it means to be so lovelorn as a hopeless romantic, and the inexplicable sense of yearning that comes with it. The acoustic backing only adds more to her emotional nature on the track, which carries an experience that many of us are all too familiar with (even if we wouldn’t want to admit it ourselves).

ena mori – “Funny”

ena mori is no stranger to breaking boundaries as one of the most innovative (and intriguing) pop prodigies out there, and her single “Funny” just proves that even further. As the recipient of the Rule Breaker Award at the first iteration of Billboard Philippines Women In Music awards, mori has expanded her artistic sensibilities further with “Funny,” blending alternative-pop, rock, and rap in a seamless manner — proving exactly why she’s well deserving of the award and worthy of more recognition from the general public.
