The Get Up Kids are finally making their long-awaited arrival to the Philippines later this year.

The Midwest emo icons announced the news on May 22, 2025 (Thursday), revealing that they have officially added a Manila show to their previously announced 2025 Asia tour, which also includes dates in Osaka, Tokyo, Singapore, and Jakarta. “Manila! We’re coming for you for the first time ever!” the band stated in their announcement. “The Philippines has always been in out radar and has always showed us love by being one of out top streaming countries year after year, and now, we will bring the TGUK show to your lovely country!”

The tour is in celebration of the 25th anniversary of The Get Up Kids’ acclaimed sophomore album Something To Write Home About, which came out on September 28, 1999. The band will be playing the full-length record in its entirety for the tour.

Presented by Blacklisted Productions, Sleeping Boy Collective, and Still Ill Records, the upcoming Manila show is set to happen on September 16, 2025 (Tuesday) at The Aster Events Place in Mandaluyong City. The Get Up Kids will be joined by Filipino post-punk band The Skeleton Years as special guests for the gig. Tickets online are priced at PHP 2,300 (Early Bird), as well as PHP 2,500 (Advance Presale) and can be availed via here. Meanwhile, tickets at the door will be priced at PHP 3,000 each.

They are best known for such hits as “Holiday,” “Overdue,” “Don’t Hate Me,” “Ten Minutes,” and more. Their latest studio album, Problems, was released on May 10, 2019.
